The Liberal Party of Canada (Parti libéral du Canada), commonly just called the "Liberal Party," is one of the largest political parties in Canada. The Liberals are descended from the mid-19th century Reformers who advocated for responsible government throughout British North America, and the party today follows the principles of liberalism. Its main political rivals are the Conservative Party and the New Democratic Party. The Liberal Party has been led by Justin Trudeau since 2013.

Car Flag Variant - Based on this photo.
Although the Liberal Party seems to favor the use of the national flag, occasionally one sees its logos featured on flags. The basic design used is a white slanted maple leaf usually over the letter "e" of the word "Liberal" on a red background,
which neatly side-steps the use of the accent aigu when read in French. This car flag is an example of the design.
